Chopin wrote these preludes while spending the winter of 1839 with George Sand in Majorca. Like the Bach Preludes, each one is in a different key but Chopin takes it one step further, with each one being in a different mood. They range from the carefree to the despairing, from the reflective to the furious. Listen and admire!
